This may also be obtained through your employer, or from your airline or credit card carrier at point of purchase. Contact us for more information.
Consent Form
Once you send us your deposit, we’ll send you a liability form for you to review. Please read it, sign it and send it back to us via email or regular mail before your departure date. You’ll need to do this to participate in any of our activities.
Accommodation
You have chosen to travel responsibly and sustainably by choosing small-scale lodging over large resorts. (Great choice by the way.) In Costa Rica for example, many of the ecolodges we work with have a limited number of rooms, we take care of placing everyone in the best possible way and all of our accommodations are appropriate for sharing. We take into consideration couples, gender and personal preferences, and do our best to offer private accommodation whenever possible. Plus, you’re guaranteed plenty of private areas to lounge during the day. If you’re travelling solo, we may have single supplement upgrades available, or we’ll pair you up with a fun like-minded roommate. (Many of our solo travelers leave with new friends for life.)
Optional Tours
After you’ve booked your escape, we’ll send you a menu of optional tours—totally up to you! Most don’t require advance booking. If you sign up for a tour upon arrival, the charge is yours even if you later cancel; once you commit, payments are non-refundable (except if the tour is cancelled by the provider). Please also note that some activities require a minimum number of participants, so if interest is too low, we may need to cancel that option.
Veto
We want everyone to have a great time, so if a guest’s behavior seriously disrupts the group’s harmony or puts anyone’s safety at risk, we reserve the right to ask them to leave—no questions asked, and, yes, just like an unexpected early exit from summer camp, there are no refunds.
Force Majeure
(a.k.a. When Life Throws a Curveball)
Without diving too deep into legal mumbo jumbo—if something beyond our control happens (like a strike, riot, crime, or what’s dramatically called an “act of God” such as a hurricane, flood, volcanic eruption, pandemic, etc.), RR Escape can’t be held responsible for reimbursing your trip.
That’s why we strongly recommend purchasing travel cancellation and interruption insurance, along with additional health coverage—just in case. We’re happy to point you in the right direction if you need help finding the right plan.
And that’s a wrap on our delightfully responsible policies! Got questions or thoughts? Don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here for you.
