Our Dandy Policies
Think of us like a fave local business where you get treated like family. We prefer to communicate directly with you and not through informal reservation systems (don’t you just hate those). So, contact us directly with your questions or to book your Costa Rica Escape.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel and health insurance. This may also be obtained through your employer, or from your airline or credit card carrier at point of purchase. Contact us for more information.
Effective now until further notice, book travel with us for any dates in 2021 and you can cancel and receive a full refund up to 30 days before departure. No risk to book your spot or group!
Consent Form
Once you send us your deposit, we’ll send you a liability form for you to review. Please read it, sign it and send it back to us via email or regular mail before your departure date. You’ll need to do this to participate in any of our activities.
Accommodation
You have chosen to travel responsibly and sustainably by choosing small-scale lodging over large resorts. (Great choice by the way.) As many of the ecolodges we work with have a limited number of rooms, we take care of placing everyone in the best possible way and all of our accommodations are appropriate for sharing. We take into consideration couples, gender and personal preferences, and do our best to offer private accommodation whenever possible. Plus, you’re guaranteed plenty of private areas to lounge during the day. If you’re travelling solo, we may have single supplement upgrades available, or we’ll pair you up with a fun like-minded roommate. (Many of our solo travelers leave with new friends for life.)
Optional Tours
Once you’ve booked your escape, we’ll send you a list of optional tours to choose from, or not to choose from (therefore optional). Most optional tours do not require a booking prior to arrival. If you commit to an optional tour on arrival, you are responsible for paying for that tour even if you cancel. Once you have committed to the activity, your payment is non-refundable (unless there is a valid reason for cancellation, such as bad weather). Please note that many activities require a minimum number of participants. Therefore, some activities may not be available if there is insufficient interest from the group.
Veto
We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if we feel they are seriously disrupting the harmony of the group, or putting others and/or themselves at risk of injury. Just like when you were bad at camp. No refunds will be given.
Force Majeure
Without putting too much legal jargon here, if there is a circumstance outside of our control that happens, such as a strike, riot, crime, or an event described by the legal term act of God (such as a hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption, pandemic, etc.), RR Escape will not be liable to reimburse your trip. For this reason, we STRONGLY encourage you to purchase cancellation and trip interruption insurance, as well as additional heath insurance. We’d be happy to advise.
Ok well, that’s about it for our dandy policies. Contact us to let us know if you have any further questions or comments.
