More of Thatch Caye
Thatch Central is the main gathering place to eat, drink, play, relax, and mix in the warm glow of a handcrafted jungle hardwood Palapa. Your daily adventures are planned here. Grab your diving or snorkelling gear and head out. And when you return from a day on the water or simply lolling at one of the three beaches, a rum punch will be waiting for you.
The Palapa Bar is a great place to hang out, have drinks, go swimming or simply enjoy the views. Surrounded by ocean, there is a natural pool that has formed between the Palapa and the island where you can spot tons of marine life including red and yellow starfish. It’s like swimming in a huge aquarium (minus the fake plastic plants.)

Thatch Caye has three beautiful white-sand beaches for you to enjoy. Grab a book, swing in a hammock or go swimming. You don’t have to fight for a lawn chair here.
The east-facing boardwalk runs along the edge of Thatch Caye for nearly a thousand feet. A tee-shaped dock with hammocks under shade connects the boardwalk to a launching dock where your sea adventures begin. You can also walk along any of the white sand paths that cross the island.
